| This is a program of the Women's Delegation for the Aichi Prefecture International Exchange. The women participants are selected from all over Aichi Prefecture and are expected to learn and experience the social situations of the countries they visit and exchange opinions with the people there. This progrm has been successfully carried out every year since 1979. Past destinations have been Australia, America, Germany, France, Asian countries, and so on. The participants organized the association called gHANANOKIhso they can continue to promote international exchange and to enhance women's role in society. Currently,there are 153 members in this association. ThegHananokih is the Aichi Prefectural tree symbol, also known as the red maple. |
